After relocating to Austin from NYC and knowing no one, tawnylawns spent the better part of a year camping out anonymously in bars and writing down everything she heard, mining for relatable lyrical hooks. The resulting EP is a story of transitions, new identities, letting go, and late-life love, pulled directly from the mouths of the zeitgeist.
tawnylawns is a producer/composer, vocalist, and video artist based in Austin, TX. She 1/2 of the Brooklyn-based synth duo Kodacrome, and co-founder of FOIL Imprints. Sounds Like: Sylvan Esso meets the Magnetic Fields with hints of Robyn. |
